Substrates
Wall art workflows shaped around real South African projects.
Floor paths under Substrates
Substrates is where Wall Art Designs maps the week, not the catalogue gloss. Each substrate guide sets out the risk, the first site check, and the email subject our team uses when ordering or querying materials. We would rather specify one substrate route that holds up on site than list five ideas that fall apart during print, delivery or fitting.
How briefs arrive without theatre
Use the substrate name in your contact form subject so we can place the enquiry against the right wall-art brief. Please attach a site photo, even if it was taken quickly on a phone.
Do one more site check before the courier collects the wall-art order. Keep the rush wall-art request separate from the weekly schedule so one urgent change does not disrupt the installation plan.
Johannesburg showroom notes
From our Johannesburg base, we still take walk-ins when a demo helps more than another PDF. Durban plants often need export timing.
Cape Town projects often need extra care around moisture and surface prep. Tell us which wall type or finish you are working with. We keep the language plain and the checklist easy to print.

Johannesburg substrate pickup points
When Substrates are part of the brief, list the material options you are considering and mention where each one will be used. Moisture, cleaning products, direct sun, and textured walls can all affect what should be specified for a South African interior.
